Quartz movement watches require a battery to be operated. Most Quarts watches would require a battery change once the battery voltage is depleted. IWC Repairs will replace the battery of your watch and test the functionality.
Watch Overhaul
The recommended watch overhaul time frame is every five years, to ensure your watch is operating to the top specifications of that specific brand. A watch overhaul includes every piece of your watch’s movement, case, and bracelet; examined, cleaned, and tested.
Crystal Replacement
Our in-house Certified watchmakers would be able to replace almost any sapphire, acrylic, or mineral crystal on a watch. Servicing the crystal of your watch enhances the overall look of your watch and its value.
It Might Be Time For a New Crystal
It is absolutely no fun when you accidentally break the crystal on your favorite watch, but the good news is it can be repaired.
We have an expansive inventory of crystals, a strong partnership with watch manufacturers, and sources for crystals that are unusual or hard to find. If your watch crystal needs to be replaced, we have certified watchmakers to ensure your timepiece is in good hands.
Repair Notes
In some cases, when a watch crystal is shattered, it is important to also replace the watch movement since microscopic glass or sapphire particles can get into the movement causing damage.
Watch Band Replacement
Leather, Rubber, Silicon or Nylon Band Replacement
Replacing a worn watch band can make your watch look like new. For a current watch style, we are usually able to replace it with an original band ordered from the watch manufacturer. If an original is not available, we can replace it with a similar band.
Metal Band Repair or Replacement
In many cases, a damaged metal band can be repaired instead of replaced. We work with almost every watch manufacturer in the industry ordering original parts including clasps, buckles, pins, and other parts needed. If a band cannot be repaired or parts are not available, the band may need to be completely replaced.
Metal Band and Case Refurbishing
This service can really transform a watch that is worn and scratched to looking like new. Stainless Steel and Solid Gold bands and cases can be cleaned and polished to remove most surface scratches. Some bands and cases have a brushed finish, and the brushed finish can be reapplied after the polishing process.

Every time you take your watch to a watchmaker, the back of the case is opened. You want to ensure that the case and your watch is water-resistant. The gaskets need to be examined, and a pressure test is done. This confirms that your watch is safe enough to be taken into the water.
Water Resistance Guide
One of the most important precautions to follow is to have your water resistant watch tested every time the case back is removed. The most common reason a case back is removed is for a battery replacement. Be sure to use a certified watch maker with the proper training and equipment to perform both the battery replacement and the water resistance test.

A Vintage Watch Restoration including Dial Refinishing
In this edition of the Weekly Before & After, we take a look at a vintage watch that was no longer water-resistant, had a very worn case, and had some corrosion.
For this timepiece, the following was required:
– Sourcing of original parts (mainspring, balance comp., back gasket)
– Interior cleaning
– Dial refinishing
– Stem & crown replacement
– Adjustment of parts
Then we finished the repair with a clean and polish and there you go. A vintage watch restored and ready to tell you the time again.
